  • Overview

    The Senior account manager initiates, maintains and manages Client’s projects on an ongoing and project basis. This position directs and coordinates the day-to-day efforts on assigned accounts and produces a variety of projects for the company. A background in client service and project management is preferred. Agency experience is preferred.


    • Develop workable budgets, work plans and realistic timetables.
    • Collaborate with the client on preparation of marketing recommendations, strategies and actions for the client.
    • Review, analyze and evaluate the following, relative to the client’s needs and objectives: all assigned creative projects, internal agency projects and assigned new business projects.
    • Define project scope and create estimates based on project needs.
    • Determine project risk on an ongoing basis, escalate issues as needed.
    • Monitor budget and production activity on assigned projects and communicate status of each project to appropriate Company and Client personnel in order to meet project deadlines.
    • Act as the team leader on all assigned projects.
    • Maintain communications with internal teams and appropriate client personnel to ensure positive workflow, escalating exceptions and issues to group account director as required.
    • Keep project status reports up to date.
    • Monitor and enforce project constraints (schedule / scope / resources) with internal team.
    • Champion internal systems for increased productivity.
    • Drive projects to final stages of completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated.
    • Manage assigned projects, be involved with client projects from start to finish, ensure successful project completion against deadlines.
    • Provide and maintain projects status – liaison with all teams, internal staff to provide accurate updates of project statuses.
    • Project quality assurance – review outputted deliverables against scope.
    • Asset Management, source through final delivery to client.
    • Initiate and lead all appropriate project meetings.
    • Monitor all internal and external costs for assigned projects.
    • Create and maintain all project backup: status reports, estimates, schedules, revisions, production specs, and any other associated backup.
    • Monitor actual vs. budgeted costs.
    • Work to insure proper billing and invoicing is done at the end of each project.
    • Review aging and past due reports.


    • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Account Manager/Account Executive in a creative agency or production environment (photography, digital, production, post), specifically in a client facing role
    • Interest in and aptitude for producing creative content
    • Knowledge of retail (Sam’s Club preferred)
    • Some knowledge of photography, digital, and post production
    • Experience in high volume and high paced environments
    • Well-versed in executing projects across multiple platforms
    • Exceptional project management abilities
    • Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge
    • Experience working with clients to develop and negotiate project scopes and budgets
    • Ability to self-manage while managing projects under tight deadlines
    • Demonstrate strong business and personal ethics.
